A Theological Study of Divine Simplicity in 1689 LBC ch. 2.1  Cam Porter looks at some of the confessions on Divine Simplicity, reformed theologians, and examines some patristic sources as well, demonstrating that Divine Simplicity was not a novel doctrine created by the Reformers, and it is essential for maintaining an orthodox theology of God; denying divine simplicity will result in a denial of God’s immutability and aseity:
